An exciting career opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced engineer to join our Infrastructure Services team now!
Reporting directly to the Manager Infrastructure Planning this key leadership role is responsible for the overall management of the Capital Works, Project Delivery and Investigations functions and teams within our Infrastructure Services Department.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-
- Coordinate the development, regular review and analysis of Council’s Capital Works Programs (excluding Water & Waste Department)
- Development and maintenance of a performance monitoring framework for reporting on the delivery of the Capital Works Program
- Monitor and report on the delivery of the Capital Works Program (in consultation with Finance) including forecasting expenditure, performance of projects against budget, and project approved end dates
- Provide detailed analysis of financial position and performance of Capital Works Program as well as individual Project Managers (excluding Water & Waste Department)
- Provide leadership, management and engineering guidance to the technical and support staff in the Investigations and Project Delivery Units
To be successful in this role you must have:-
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering with eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
- Extensive experience in a senior engineering role and financial management within a large organisation.
- Experience in coordinating the development and review of capital works programs/budgets as they relate to a medium to large organisation, including regular forecasting and analysis.
- RPEQ registration
- Experience working within a large multi-disciplinary organisation
- Local Government experience will be highly regarded
