Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Senior Plant Operator – Wastewater Treatment to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- As a Senior Plant Operator – Wastewater Treatment, provide the required input as directed by the team leader to perform the process control measures necessary in the day to day operations of wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with relevant State / Federal laws. This position is second to the Team Leader and as such will have the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake this role.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment operations.
- Current “C” class driver’s license.
- An Extensive knowledge of Wastewater Treatment Plant processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic laboratory procedures relative to monitoring plant operational process.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
