Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Administration Officer to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- The primary function of this role is to provide administrative and reception support; and perform as part of a team to support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory operations.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Demonstrated experience working in an autonomous administration role.
- Competent word processing and database skills and ability to broaden computing experience with other packages. Including the ability to review and verify data.
- Demonstrated organisation skills, ability to take responsibility and manage tasks as defined by established routines, methods, standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Previous experience in providing administration / customer service laboratory support in a water-testing laboratory or other relevant industry.
