Ganger - Cemetery Cairns

Salary Range: $57,888.96 - $59,451.56 per annum

Location: Cairns Cemetery

As a Cemetery Ganger you will be responsible for the operational running of the Cairns Cemetery.  You will be required to liaise directly with Customers, Funeral Directors and other industry personnel in a professional and courteous manner. As part of a small team you will be required to work together to ensure a safe, efficient and dignified burial service when required and to ensure the maintenance of the Cemetery grounds meets community and Council expectation.  You will work closely with the other Cemetery Gangers to ensure consistency of service across all of Council's Cemeteries and provide assistance to each other as required. 

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate skills and experience in successfully leading operational teams, demonstrate ability to relate to the community in a sensitive and professional manner, whilst displaying tact, integrity and discretion when required.  A C Class Drivers Licence will also be esstential.
