Full-Time Temporary: Fixed Term to May 2023

Salary Range: $85,928.29 to $91,465.86 pro-rata per annum

Primary Objective of the position:

  • Lead emerging and directorate projects, including cross organisation project and business improvement opportunities.
  • Advise Director Planning, Growth and Sustainability in directorate business improvement initiatives that support improved service delivery.
  • Contribute to design, production and review of business systems and documents and provide guidance on business improvement issues.
  • Review, formulate and draft comprehensive procedures in relation to all aspects of business undertaken in relation to individual work units within the Planning, Growth and Sustainability directorate.
  • Coordination and facilitation of business systems across the Planning, Growth and Sustainability directorate in relation to CRM management.
  • Provide high-level advice on major business issues and projects, including the strategic identification of proactive ways to improve business operations within the directorate. 

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in Business Systems and Administration within Local Government.
  • Class C driver’s licence.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in business administration field, particularly in relation to Local Government.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Commonwealth, State and Local legislation.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to set and meet timelines as set by Legislation, Council Local Laws and Policies.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with other government departments, consultants, legal advisers, internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated level of organisational skills with an ability to work at a high level of independence with minimum support and supervision.
