Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Apprentice Fitter & Turner to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- Assist in the repair and service of Council's Water & Resource Recovery Assets while achieving the competency’s and training required to successfully complete Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical).
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum year 10 schooling.
- Working Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).
- Awareness of Workplace Health & Safety Act and regulations.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships in a friendly and flexible manner.
