Position Summary

Southern Suburbs Support Coordinator

Vacancy Reference Number: 11416

Salary Range: $73,211 to $83,874 per annum

Location: Hambledon House Edmonton

Primary objectives of the position:

  • To provide leadership and support to members of the Southern Suburbs Support Team in a manner which promotes the achievement of the goals of the team, of Council and relevant funding bodies.
  • To participate in processes with the Manager and other Team Leaders which promote development of the Branch and improve service outcomes.
  • Contribute to processes which support the achievement of Councils objectives.
  • Monitor community needs within the target area and coordinate the response to these needs.
  • Facilitate community education initiatives and the dissemination of community service information.
  • Implement processes to ensure the centre and the services provided by the Southern Suburbs Support Team function effectively and respond to community needs.
  • Recruit, supervise and support centre staff and volunteers.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have previous experience working in Local Government?
Essential: Do you have tertiary qualifications in community development, social sciences, social work or a related field and extensive experience in a similar role?
Essential: Do you possess or have ability to obtain a “Working with Children Check” Blue Card?
