Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Process Engineer Wastewater North to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- The role is to be the primary lead pertaining to process improvement and optimisation associated with the Wastewater Treatment Plants. This role will assist the Process and Treatment Coordinator and the treatment team with data management and development of best practice approaches to the implementation of a range of strategic initiatives to ensure the treatment unit standards are enhanced.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Engineering, Science or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated experience working in the water / wastewater industry
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data from a wastewater operational environment or a similar network infrastructure environment
- Working knowledge of relevant acts and regulations
- Good verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
