Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Manager Business Performance & Compliance to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
This is a key leadership position within the Water & Resource Recovery Department and is responsible for overseeing activities of Business Performance & Compliance Branch to ensure:
- Water & Resource Recovery’s corporate and legislative requirements are identified, prioritised and fulfilled;
- The business’ Strategic Plan is reviewed, maintained and actioned; and
- Appropriate levels of overall business administration support are maintained.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Science, Environmental Engineering, Business or equivalent, and/or substantial relevant experience in systems development and/or quality management.
- A proven track record in aspects of risk management including a broad knowledge in the development and implementation of management systems (e.g. Drinking water, asset, safety, environmental, quality and/or risk management).
- Demonstrated success in developing, facilitating and implementing strategic programmes, plans and projects
- Demonstrated commitment to and practice of a participative leadership style that supports, motivates and inspires individual, team and corporate achievements.
- Superior communication and negotiation skills, including demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff and a range of internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to promote and support the achievement of a customer focused organisation.
- C Class Driver License.
