Senior Management Accountant
Salary Range: $78,796 - $91,488 per annum

Cairns Regional Council is currently seeing a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance Department.
The role:
This position will work closely with the Coordinator of Management Accounting and Council’s Management Team to fulfil our internal reporting and analysis needs. This includes structured monthly reporting and the annual budgeting process along with ad-hoc analysis and reporting when needed.
The incumbent will also work closely with the Treasury and Taxation, Asset Accounting and Financial Accounting areas, to ensure that all areas of Council receive any professional accounting advice and support needed.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor of Commerce / Business or similar.
- CPA or CA membership
- Experience working in a relevant finance field.
- Demonstrated experience in budget development, performance reporting and process improvement.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

As part of the selection process, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, which will include a drug and alcohol test and a national police history check.
