Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking three (3) Trainee Administration Officer’s to join our Finance Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- To obtain a Certificate III Business Administration qualification
- To provide an administrative service to the Business Support Unit within the Shared Services Branch
- Assist in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, cross training and procedural efficiencies
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Grade 10 or 12 Certificate or suitable qualifications relevant to secretarial and clerical work
- Proficient keyboard typing skills
- Demonstrated ability to display tact, integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to being a Team Member that supports, motivates and participates in team discussions to achieve the section, branch and corporate goals
- Ability to communicate with Council officers and general public
