Salary: $52,152.36 - $64,890.91 pro-rata per annum

Part-Time Permanent: 29 hours, 4 days per week

Primary Objectives of the position:
- Performing as an integral part of a team in the analysis of water samples to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
- The employee will be required to perform a range of tasks providing they have been suitably trained, deemed competent and authorised in accordance with the laboratory’s NATA accreditation requirements.
To be successful in this role you must have:-
- A certificate in Laboratory Techniques, or relevant chemistry related science qualification or equivalent from a recognised educational institution or at least one (1) year’s laboratory assistant experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical hazards or ability to acquire.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and instructions in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise work to achieve a timely outcome.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for skill in performance of laboratory duties.
- Basic knowledge of computing, particularly Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
