Salary Range: $73,211 to $76,258 per annum

Primary Objectives:

The Digital Media Officer is required to:

• Working with Marketing and Communications Account Managers, the Media Coordinator, Events Officers, branches and departments of Council to deliver digital communications as outlined in the External Communications Strategy 2017-2021.
• Develop and deliver social media content and campaigns for Council activities, services and events, produce and update material for Council’s Corporate website, intranet and social media channels, produce video and animation content, develop and execute online campaigns as well as monitor online community inquiries, feedback and discussions.

To be eligible for this position you must have the following qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in one or more relevant fields, such as Journalism, Communications, Website Development, Digital Marketing, Multi-Media, or equivalent experience in these fields.
• Have extensive public relations, marketing and/or media experience.
• Have proven understanding of social media implementation and management with proven experience in dealing with sensitive media issues and handling stakeholder perceptions.
