Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Assets Coordinator to join our Water & Waste Department on a fixed term basis until December 2021.
Primary Objectives of the position:
- Lead and manage the asset information management program for Water & Waste to achieve branch and corporate performance objectives.
- Develop and Maintain asset management systems, process and procedures to ensure service delivery standards of Council’s Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste Assets.
- Manage and lead the development and implementation of Asset Management Plans for Water, Wastewater and Waste Services asset classes.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering with experience in the Water Industry.
- Extensive experience in asset management, asset operations or asset maintenance in the Water Industry or related capital intensive industry.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare sound reports, memorandums and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
