Labourer / Truck Driver  WS236

Salary Range: $52,441.56 per annum

Location: Stratford Depot, Arnold Street, Stratford

Primary Objective of the position:

  • Perform on site labouring and driving tasks primarily associated with Maintenance and Construction activities within the Northern District
  • To work in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner whilst ensuring maximum productivity with a high standard of workmanship and job safety
  • To be a good team player

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Hold a current Queensland Medium Rigid (MR) class driver’s licence or above
  • Secondary education to Year 10 with good writing and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics
  • Having a physical capacity and endurance to be able to undertake a variety of strenuous labouring tasks associated with Construction and Maintenance activities
  • The ability to use or to learn to use electronic devices (e.g. tablets, smartphones) as applicable to this position
  • Previous experience in repairs to concrete infrastructure involving form work and concrete finishing
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in driving trucks with the ability to perform daily routine safety checks of vehicle and trailer
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment, be a good team player, possess a high level of motivation and work efficiently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a public environment with the emphasis on communication and providing quality customer service
