Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Team Leader Compliance and Quality Systems to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- Coordination of the compliance functions of Water and Waste including drinking water quality, environmental management and referable dam safety.
- The position exercises a degree of autonomy and will require the setting of outcomes for water and waste staff, working with key stakeholders in setting outcomes for Water and Waste and establishing priorities for delivery of systems and managing risk.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in science, engineering and/or significant demonstrated experience within compliance roles in the Water and Waste industry
- Knowledge of water, wastewater and waste industry practices and processes.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and investigative skills with the ability to solve complex issues.
- Highly developed written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to write reports, letters and memorandums.
