Salary Range: $51,129.76 - $63,618.54 pro-rata per annum

Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Finance Department.

Primary Objective of the position:

  • To effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers at all times in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
  • To participate and contribute to the Customer Service Team on a rotational roster to deliver a high level of services to the residents and ratepayers of the Cairns Regional Council.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Secondary education to at least Grade 10 and preferably Grade 12.
  • Customer Service and /or Call Centre experience.
  • A strong commitment to the highest level of Customer Service and a desire to raise the profile of Council.
  • Ability to communicate with Council officers and the general public.
  • Skills, knowledge or experience of cash handling, administration, and technology suitable to a Customer Service Centre environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have a current and valid C Class Drivers' Licence or above?
