Environmental Health Officer

Salary Range: $55,983 to $77,973 per annum

Your responsibilities will be:
- To implement Council's Environmental Health and permit compliance programs.
- To investigate all complaints alleging relevant breaches of the following environmental health related legislation (and associated regulations).
- Attend to the enforcement of the above legislation and collect evidence for further action, including drafting warrants and preparation of material for court prosecution.
To be eligible for this position you must have the follow qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or such other qualifications as are accepted by the Chief Health Officer (Qld) and qualifies for membership of the Australian Institute of Environmental Health.
- Knowledge of the Food Act, Health Acts and other Legislation relevant to environmental health.
- Demonstrated previous experience in inspection, investigation, basic report and issuing infringements in relation to identified breaches of legislation.
- Current open car driver’s licence including manual vehicles.
