Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Manager Asset Services to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
This is a key leadership position within Water and Resource Recovery. The incumbent will provide leadership in the strategic planning and forecasting for the demand for water, wastewater and resource recovery infrastructure, through to the design and delivery of the annual capital works program within Water and Resource Recovery.
This is a broad role that covers the following responsibility areas in the management of Water and Resource Recovery Infrastructure:
- Strategic Asset Planning
- Project design and delivery
- Asset management
- Major Capital Water Project Delivery
- Demand Management Strategy
- Asset Maintenance planning and delivery
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Engineering with advanced project management experience.
- Significant experience in the management of water, wastewater and resource recovery assets, including strategic planning development of Asset Management Plans and the delivery of asset maintenance programs.
- Extensive high-level experience in the management and delivery of Significant Capital Works programs within a large organisation or Government environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to and practice of a participative leadership style that supports, motivates and inspires individual, team and corporate achievements.
- Superior communication and negotiation skills, including demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff and a range of internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to promote and support the achievement of a customer focused organisation.
