Primary Objectives of the position:-
As Custodian for Council’s $40m Fleet Asset Portfolio:
- Coordinate the daily functioning of Fleet Assets and Fleet Logistics Services in supporting operational teams in the delivery of capital and maintenance and projects.
- Responsible for Contract Management and Administration of Council’s $16m Fleet Wet & Dry Hire Services Register of Pre‑Qualified Suppliers (RoPS) Arrangement.
- Strategic and Operational Asset Management incorporating:
- - Development of the Fleet Profile to best meet business demand;
- - Planning and delivery of Fleets Annual $6m Capital Works Renewal Program;
- - Continual review and identification of opportunities for improvement in Fleet Standardisation and Asset Utilisation;
- - Work cohesively and productively with the Coordinator Fleet Workshop to ensure downtime of Council’s Fleet is minimised;
- - Coordination of Fleet Asset Disposal;
To be successful in this role you must have:-
- Relevant qualifications in a related discipline and/or combined with a high level of industry experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a medium size, diverse fleet within a large multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis and application of customer-centric methodology in delivering continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in superior service delivery.
- Knowledge of Fleet Acquisition and Disposal processes.
- Demonstrated experience in Contract Management and administration of service-based contracts in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation.
