Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Laboratory Logistics Officer to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- To provide an effective and efficient centralised sample management function for the Laboratory, ensuring all samples are appropriately receipted/dispatched in a timely manner to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical hazards or ability to acquire
- Manual dexterity sufficient for skill in performance of laboratory duties
- Ability to learn in a reasonable amount of time routine, and non-technical and limited laboratory duties and use of laboratory equipment, supplies and materials
- Good knowledge of computing, particularly Microsoft products, including Word and Excel
