We are now seeking highly analytical and experienced Governance Officer to join our team now!
Reporting to the Team Leader - Governance, the key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Team Leader Governance in investigations relating to complaints or reviews which are the responsibility of the Governance Unit.
- Contribute to the coordination, design, production and review of corporate planning documents.
- Act as a point of contact for advice and support on governance related matters for the organisation.
- Assist in the delivery of Voice of the Customer schedule by undertaking market research / customer surveys.
- Assist in the delivery and review of council’s customer responsiveness program (including but not limited to PhoneFox) as required.
- Liaise with Service Quality Officer in relation to the resolution and completion of centralised complaints.
- Assist with the preparation of agendas, including drafting reports for the Audit, Governance and Ordinary council meetings.
- Monitor, manage and track a number of schedules and lists to manage documentation and recommendations relating to audits and governance documents.
- Assist as required with Council’s enterprise wide risk management strategies including the review of the corporate risk management register.
- Assist with the completion of Council’s corporate performance returns and reports.
- Assist with the renewal process of Council’s asset, public liability and associated insurance policies.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to position and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to undertake tasks and duties in a logical and objective manner.
- Well-developed reporting and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of quality service to internal and external customers
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to sustain self and others through change processes in an environment of continuous improvement
