Graduate Civil Engineer - 2 Year Fixed-Term Contract

Salary Range: $58,536.24 - $81,529.17 pro-rata per annum
Location: 119 - 145 Spence Street, Cairns

Primary objectives of the position:

• To provide technical, administrative and professional assistance in the planning and management of operational activities.
• To follow council’s Graduate Development Program towards becoming eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia.

To be successful in this role you will require:

• Qualifications in Engineering.
• Current class C drivers licence.
• An understanding of civil engineering construction and maintenance.
• Sound level of oral and written communication skills, including research and report writing.
• Proficient with information systems such as Word, Excel, Access and Project.
• Knowledge of current legislation, standards and processes relation to civil engineering works.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and build strong working relationships.
