Graduate Civil Engineer - 2 Year Fixed-Term Contract (2x Positions Available - 1x position to commence early January 2020)
Reference Number: 12986 Salary Range: $58,536.24 - $81,529.17 pro-rata per annum Location: 119 - 145 Spence Street, Cairns Closing: Monday 14th October 2019

Primary objectives of the position:
- To provide technical, administrative and professional assistance in the planning and management of operational activities.
- To follow council’s Graduate Development Program towards becoming eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Qualifications in Engineering.
- Current class C drivers licence.
- An understanding of civil engineering construction and maintenance.
- Sound level of oral and written communication skills, including research and report writing.
- Proficient with information systems such as Word, Excel, Access and Project.
- Knowledge of current legislation, standards and processes relation to civil engineering works.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and build strong working relationships.
