Salary Range: $103,095.57 - $115,973.18 per annum

Primary Objective of the position:
- Provide leadership to the team and coordinate the development of policies, strategic plans, models and guidelines relating to the planning, design, implementation and asset management of the Transport and Traffic
- Be the lead authority in Council on matters in relation to transport and traffic planning and road network asset management. Engage in effective interaction and networking at various levels within Council and external to Council, State and Federal government
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) and eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), or attainment of RPEQ within 6 months of appointment
- Extensive experience in a senior engineering role within a large organisation
- Extensive experience in coordinating the development, review and implementation of strategic/master (infrastructure) plans as they relate to local government
- Demonstrated working knowledge of road and traffic planning principles and analysis including knowledge of requirements of Australian Standards, State Government Departments (e.g. DTMR,), Austroads
