Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Finance Department.
Primary Objectives of the position:
- To provide expert advice and guidance for all matters in relation to procurement, tenders and contracts and effective contract administration and management.
- Responsible for administering procurement and contractual arrangements, drafting and reviewing of tender and contract documents.
- Participate as an effective team member in support of operational and project delivery services.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration, construction, procurement or contract administration, and/or equivalent workplace experience with minimum two years’ experience in a contracts and tendering role.
- High level communication, verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in computer based systems, particularly in relation to procurement functions.
- Experience in contract administration for service based contracts in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation.
- An ability to liaise and report at all levels of the business, including executive and senior management levels.
- Experience in complaints and conflict resolution.
