Administration Officer - Cultural Services - Temporary Position until 18 February 2022

Salary Range: $59,706.96 - $64,890.91 pro-rata per annum

We are now seeking a confident, highly skilled and experienced administrator to join our team now. Working across our Cultural Services Branch you will undertake a variety of duties which include (but not limited to):  

  • The coordination of administrative support to the Operations Manager and other officers in our Cultural Services team
  • Liaise with public and community groups regarding current projects and programs of the Tanks Arts Centre
  • Organise functions and travel arrangements
  • Customer service, including answering and directing telephone calls
  • Preparation of correspondence
  • Receipt of payments, banking and cash handling
  • Minute taking at meetings
  • Ordering and maintaining stationery supplies, stock take for trading stock
  • Report writing

To be successful in this role you must have: 

  • Word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, especially with Windows, Microsoft Office, Oracle ADI, Matman, and databases
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a high standard of administrative support
  • Ability to plan and organise workload to meet departmental deadlines
  • Ability to display tact, integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience with Artifax and IdealPOS retail system
  • Skills and experience in working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to respond to members of the public in a courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and sensitive manner

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have keyboard typing and word processing skills with advanced knowledge in the Microsoft suite i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Internet based research?
Essential: Do you have previous experience working within an office / administration environment?
Essential: Do you have a high level of verbal and written communication skills with proven attention to detail and the ability to write, proof read and edit correspondence?
Essential: Do you have a basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, banking and related tasks?
