Team Leader Contracts
Primary Objective of the position:
- Deliver contracting and tendering processes which observe the core procurement aims of value for money, open and effective competition, development of competitive local business and industry, environmental protection and ethical behaviour and fair dealing.
- Supervise Council’s contracting and tendering responsibilities in accordance with industry best practice and standards whilst meeting all legislative, policy and procedural obligations.
- To provide leadership and superior modelled behaviour to support the Coordinator of Procurement and Payables in strategic initiatives and the day to day activities of the Contracts team.
- Provide advice and support on all procurement contract matters to the various departments across Council.
To be considered for this position you must have:-
- Tertiary qualifications in business, government or contracts and procurement or equivalent workplace and industry experience.
- Demonstrated contracts experience in the construction and trade services industries would be highly advantageous.
