Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Trainee Administration Officer to join our Finance Department. 

Primary Objective of the position:

  • To provide clerical and other administrative support services to the Procurement team in a manner that enhances the performance of the Unit and assists to achieve Council’s goals and objectives.
  • Undertake core and elective modules towards the completion of Certificate III in Business Administration.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Grade 10 or 12 Certificate or relevant experience in secretarial and/or clerical work.
  • Demonstrated ability with Computer Software.
  • Commitment to personal development and a willingness to learn and take direction.
  • A strong commitment to the highest level of Customer Service and a desire to raise the profile of Council.
