Senior IT Support Officer - GIS Data Management
Full Time Fixed Term until December 2020
Reference Number: 12787 Salary Range: $76,355.88 - $79,532.89 Location: 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns Closing: Friday 26th April 2019

Primary objectives of the position:
- To provide technical support for corporate systems with a specific focus on Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) ensuring timely incident and problem identification / resolution to the agreed service levels.
- Provide data management expertise for GIS data specifically.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in working with data in a Geospatial context.
- Demonstrated use of GIS applications to interrogate manipulate and produce solutions that meet client needs.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective management of GIS data including an understanding of relational data principals as required for applications that consume and present GIS data.
- Experience with enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, data modelling tools and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to provide training and support services to users ensuring effective customer service.
