We are now seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional with a high degree of specialist accountancy and analytical skills to join our team now. Working as part of the Payroll team, this pivotal role will ensure that the appropriate quality and internal controls are in place across all payroll functions. Additionally, the role will also support the Payroll Coordinator in ensuring the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Payroll Team with a key focus on accuracy, professionalism and customer service.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Certified Practising Accountant status (CPA Australia) or Chartered Accountant (ICA Australia) or progress toward certification.
- Well-developed analytical, research and evaluation skills with demonstrated experience in implementing business improvement initiatives and change management processes to achieve organisational benefits.
- Experience of leading change within teams and across processes to focus on improved service outcomes and the development of staff skills and capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional, authoritative and practical advice about payroll, superannuation, taxation and human resources administration to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of industrial awards (including EBAs), as well as relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including ability to establish positive working relationships, negotiate with influence and manage stakeholder expectations across a large, complex organisation.
- High-level written and oral communication skills including liaising, consulting and stakeholder engagement with a broad range of clients.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships across management, peer and internal customer groups.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain others through change.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
