Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Plumber to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- As a Water Operations/Construction plumber, operate as directed by the Team Leader Capital Works/Maintenance in the installation of new & replacement water reticulation mains, property services, water meters, fire hydrants & service valves and customer complaints regarding the construction of water reticulation mains in accordance with the service standards set by Water & Resource Recovery.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Licensed Plumber & Drainer
- Current drivers license to 3 tonne vehicle capacity
- Physical wellbeing to receive training and accreditation for entry into confined spaces
- Previous experience in water systems construction works
- Good written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics
