Ganger Horticulture Maintenance  WS797

Salary: $57,888.96 per annum
Location: Martyn Street Depot, 158A Martyn Street, Cairns

Primary Objectives of the position:

  • To organise and direct the field operations of the Horticultural Crew and Contractors thus ensuring efficient use of resources in delivering a high quality of presentation whilst complying with all environmental and safe work practices.
  • To undertake maintenance inspections reporting on all noteworthy aspects.
  • To provide a safe depot environment and security.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Secondary education to Year 10 with good writing and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
  • Current Qld Light Rigid (LR) class driver’s licence.
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or associated field and/or demonstrated experience to perform the duties.
  • Implement Traffic Management Plan Competency (formerly Traffic Management Level 2)
  • Substantial horticultural maintenance experience gained in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated effective people management skills and staff supervision.
