Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Apprentice Fitter to join our Water & Waste Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- Assist in the repair and service of Council's Water & Waste Assets while achieving the competency’s and training required to successfully complete a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical)
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum Year 10 schooling
- Working Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships in a friendly and flexible manner
- Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated evidence through interests, hobbies, experience or training
