Project Officer - Cultural Services - Marketing & Communications Team - 3 Month Contract

An exciting opportunity is now available for a highly energetic, talented and experienced Marketing & Communications Officer who will work within the Cultural Service marketing team to create awareness of our arts and cultural programs and attendance at events. Our program covers events at CPAC, Munro Martin Parklands, Tanks Arts Centre, The Court House, Cairns Festival and Ticketlink.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Professional brand writing skills
- Media liaison experience
- Social media management
- Expert use of digital technologies necessary to undertake required tasks
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
Project specific duties include:
- Working with media/tourism organisations to ensure media coverage.
- Produce media releases.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns
- Liaise with venue hirers and show promoters to coordinate marketing services
- Write, produce and distribute, electronic direct mail (EDMs).
- Assist with development, including writing of articles, for Vibrance Magazine as required.
- Develop engaging content for Cultural Services social media.
- Updating of Council web sites
- Provide a very high level of customer service with all staff and clients.
