Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Libraries Business Engagement Team Leader to join our Community, Sport & Cultural Services Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- Lead and manage the Business Engagement team in the development and delivery of high-quality services and programs.
- Lead a coordinated business engagement approach to learning, literacy and creative programming and services that engage the community and activate library spaces (including volunteers, first5forever and all outreach events).
- Support the Library Services Coordinator in managing people and financial resources in the designated area of Library Services to implementing and achieve Council’s strategic goals, objectives and best practice.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with the library management team and other colleagues across Council to contribute to achieving strategic goals and objectives and best practice.
- Provide business engagement support to Client Services team.
- Participate in the overall planning and delivery of Library Services.
- Manage the provision of the delivery of library business engagement services and projects to the Client Services team.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Eligible for professional (Associate) membership – AALIA of ALIA.
- ALIA accredited undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in library and information studies; or first degree in any discipline AND an ALIA recognised post-graduate (graduate diploma or masters) course.
- Blue Card or eligibility to obtain a Blue Card.
- Current Qld MVDL.
- Demonstrated experience in inspirational team leadership and the capacity to manage and build a team focussed on high quality engagement services to the community.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver projects including developing clear project plans and timelines, engaging in regular communication with all stakeholders, including team members and monitoring of project progress ensuring the project remains within budget, timelines and meets required standards.
