Position Summary

Outdoor Power Equipment / Small Engine Mechanic – WS153

Salary: $55,647.89 - $62,667.74 per annum

Location: Martyn Street Depot, 158A Martyn Street, Cairns

Primary Objectives of the position:-

  • Repair and maintain Council's small plant, other equipment and associated tasks as required by the Leading Hand Mechanic or Fleet Workshop Supervisor.
  • Carry out all work as per Council procedures and transfer records back to their Supervisor.
  • Maintain an accurate jobs log and maintain up-to-date records according to Council procedures and report on a daily basis.
  • Update data into the Workshop's maintenance management systems as directed.

To be successful in this role you must have:- 

  • Current Queensland Driver's Class ‘C’ Licence or equivalent.
  • Outdoor Power Equipment or Motor Mechanic trade qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of small plant and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with small engine equipment.
