Events & Marketing Officer
Salary Range: $65,245.44 - $70,129.06 per annum
Location: 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns

We are now seeking a highly interactive, energetic, flexible team player with exceptional administrative, event management and people skills to join our team now!
As part of our Marketing and Communications team, the key focus of this role is to:
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of community events, in particular citizenship ceremonies and school visits
- Assist the Account Managers with marketing and community engagement activities
- Undertake office / administration duties for the Marketing and Communications Branch, including updating Council’s website
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence
- A current Blue Card or ability to obtain
- Experience in community engagement activities
- Experience in event management and logistics support
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to develop & maintain professional working relationships
- Be friendly and enthusiastic
- Work well in a small team environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work
- Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Working outside of hours as required, including weekends and public holidays will be applicable for this position.
