Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Senior Treatment Plant Operator – Leading Hand to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- As a Senior Operator – Leading Hand you will be a key point of contact on site and will provide direction with respect to day to day operations of the treatment plant(s).
- This position is second to the Team Leader and as such will have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide guidance to other operators.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment operations or ability to obtain.
- Current “C” class driver’s license.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant processes or relevant industry experience.
- Ability to apply a basic level of mathematics, chemistry and biology applicable to a wastewater treatment plant.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
