Cairns Regional Council now has an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark and contribute to the on-going programming and provision of grants and infrastructure that will stimulate and sustain the cultural and creative vitality of the region.
We are now seeking a suitably qualified and highly experienced Arts & Cultural Grants Coordinator who will play a critical role in supporting our Cultural Services team to develop and expand the capacity and capability of the branches strategic planning, programs and projects.
Key duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively and proactively work with the Cultural Services Branch to research, identify and prepare high-quality funding and grant submission, and provide insights and targeted advice to staff on funding schemes and leveraging opportunities.
- Develop and fortify new and existing partnerships with government and private sector investors through strong leadership and collaborative and innovative practice.
- Monitor, review and evaluate the effectiveness of the Arts and Cultural Grant Program and initiate innovative and best-practice processes that maximise the impact of these programs in step with the changing needs and expectations of the community.
- Provide high-level management of the three (3) Arts and Cultural Grants programs’ administrative procedures.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- A tertiary qualification relevant to the position, demonstrated experience and significant achievement in funding and sponsorship in the Australian Arts and Cultural field.
- Highly developed understanding of the National and State arts and cultural environment, particularly in regard to funding trends.
- Demonstrated experience in writing high-quality grant submissions, tenders and expressions of interest.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in effectively working and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, funding bodies, service providers, NFP organisations, and/or selection panels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide responsible financial management, including demonstrated experience with acquitting funding applications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the proven ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks with tight timeframes whilst maintaining attention to detail.
