The Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) will open its doors in December. Hosting an array of events and performances including plays, musical theatre, dance, comedy and contemporary and classical music performances. CPAC houses two venues, the main theatre with a seating capacity of 940 people and the studio with a seating capacity of 400. CPAC is a premier facility that will bring the precinct and the city to life and provide the people of Cairns with the finest performing arts experiences and a broad range of entertainment. 

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Patron Services Supervisor to complement our team to provide an exceptional customer focus sed service to all patrons who visit our new performing arts centre. 

Key duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Oversee all patron focused activities at CPAC.
  • Supervise and coordinate Patron Services Attendants across patron supervision, ticket checking and bar service.
  • Coordinate bar services including, daily reconciliation, float management, stock ordering and stocktake.
  • Facilitate merchandise in conjunction with the client where required.
  • Liaise effectively with key CPAC personnel, contractors, event producers and/or presenters, venue hirers, tour managers and performers. 

To be considered for this role you must have:  

  • A current Responsible Management of Licensed Venues Certification (RMLV)
  • A Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (RSA)
  • Extensive experience in theatre or cinema operations or the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated high level Customer Service.
  • Have a courteous and friendly disposition and advanced communication skills.
