Salary Range: $13,790.39 - $35,855.05 pro-rata per annum

Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Trainee Administration Officer to join our Finance Department. 

Primary Objective of the position:

  • To obtain Certificate III in Business qualification.
  • To provide administrative service to the Business Support Unit, Shared Services Branch and Procurement and Payables Branch.
  • Assist in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, cross training and procedural efficiencies.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Grade 10 or 12 Certificate or suitable qualifications relevant to secretarial and clerical work. 
  • Demonstrated ability to display tact, integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to communicate with Council officers and general public.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have a Grade 10 or 12 Secondary Education Certificate?
Essential: Do you have keyboard typing and word processing skills with advanced knowledge in the Microsoft suite i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Internet based research?
