Volunteers Support Officer (Outdoors)

Salary Range: $50,036.88 per annum
Location: Botanic Gardens Precincts / Mt Whitfield Arrow Tracks

Primary Objectives:
- Supervise, educate and motivate volunteers and work placement personnel in the inspection and maintenance of tracks and trails on Council controlled land including but not limited to Mt Whitfield Arrow Tracks.
- Assist with other Green Space Our Place volunteer programs.
To be eligible for this position you must have the following qualifications:
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience in Land Conservation Management and track maintenance.
- Understanding of the necessary Australian industry standards applicable to track construction and maintenance.
- Qualifications and/or experience in the use and operation of machinery relevant to hard landscaping and track maintenance.
- Experience in landscape construction techniques and walking track maintenance.
- ACDC chemical applicators license / White Card (General Safety – Construction) / First Aid Certificate.
