In this position you will perform on-site labouring and driving tasks associated with maintenance and construction activities within the Central District.  The individual we are seeking must be flexible and be able to work early morning shifts as required, be self-motivated, demonstrate the ability to finish concrete work and possess experience / skills with stamping, stencilling and colour concrete.

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:-

Essential:

Qualifications

• Secondary education to Year 10 with good writing and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
• Current MR Class Driver’s Licence.

Knowledge, Skills & Expertise

• Demonstrated skills and experience in driving trucks relevant to this position.
• Demonstrated ability to perform daily routine servicing and safety checks of vehicle and trailer with prompt notification to plant inspectors / workshop of any defects.
• Demonstrated ability to perform a range of maintenance / construction labouring tasks related to Cairns Works.
• An understanding of and commitment to Workplace health and Safety, environmental responsibility, quality assurance, equal employment opportunities and open communications.
• Demonstrated ability to finish concrete work and experience/skills with stamping, stencilling and colour concrete.

People Oriented Skills & Attributes

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision in a small team environment.

In addition to the above, the following criteria are desirable:-

Licence

• HR Licence.

Knowledge, Skills & Expertise

• Be able to work early morning shift when required.
• Other Skills/Experience relevant to position.
