Leading Hand Carpenter WS464
Salary: $60,497.18 per annum Location: Martyn Street Depot, 158A Martyn Street, Cairns Reference Number: 13007 Close Date: Monday 4 November 2019
Primary Objectives of the position:-
- This position is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of carpentry and trade services, including building maintenance, form work construction, steel fixing, concrete finishing, joinery and plan interpretation.
- Supervision of Carpenters, Formsetters and Labour staff within the maintenance crew.
To be successful in this role you must have:-
- Trade Qualifications (Carpenter or Carpenter/Joiner).
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence (Class C).
- Demonstrated skills in the delivery of efficient, effective and timely carpentry and trade services including building maintenance, form work construction, steel fixing, concrete finishing, joinery and plan interpretation.
- Developed organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate a number of tasks at the same time.
- Advanced Construction Formwork experience.
- Advanced Concrete Finishing skills.
- Demonstrated effective people management skills specifically in the areas of dealing with the public, staff supervision, leadership, motivation and team building.
