Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a SCADA Technical Officer to join our Water & Waste department.
Primary Objective of the position:
- Managing delivery of technical SCADA components of the Water and Waste capital works program.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualification in software engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Information Technology or trade qualification in instrumentation or related field.
- Project Management Qualification or willingness to obtain. E.g. Diploma of Project Management.
- Distributed control systems and/or SCADA or similar field experience in areas of operation, maintenance, development, testing and commissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data from a network infrastructure environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
