Salary Range: $63,647.88 - $68,411.92 per annum
Location: 119 - 145 Spence Street, Cairns

Primary objective of the position:

•  To assist with accurately and timely recovery of rates, water and sundry debts owed to Council in accordance with policy, established procedures and relevant legislation.

To be successful in this role you will require:

• Demonstrated qualifications and experience relevant to the position.
• Well-developed written and verbal communications including experience with preparing high level reports and complex documents.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation associated with debt collections and sale of land process.
• Proven ability to use initiative and problem solving skills to resolve complex issues.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership including staff management.
• Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, including a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with customers experiencing financial difficulties.
• Strong customer service focus, with an ability to relate well to other staff and to members of the public.
