About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Development Services (Engineering), the purpose of this position is to facilitate and manage the post-approval process, ensure compliance with relevant policy and legislation, and to provide high level technical advice to key stakeholders and team members.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing, suitability qualified and experienced professional to join our team in this key role as a Technical Officer within the Development Engineering Team.
Specifically, the role will primarily involve the facilitation and management of post-approval actions following the issuance of Development Permits for Operational Work, in a way that facilitates development and maintains a collaborative working approach with industry consultants.
The role will involve a collaborative approach to business, in a team environment with a strong focus on fostering and supporting a positive workplace culture.
About you
To be successful in this role you will require a demonstrated knowledge of the development and planning process, and practical experience in the development processes, project management, planning and ideally, Local Government.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be second to none, including your ability use tact, diplomacy whilst building and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external customers.
An outcomes-based approach to managing tight deadlines and competing interests will be a key pillar of the role.
Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and development experience, preferably with some of that experience in a Local Government or similar.
